November was both joyful and brutal. Lots of work, tears, pain, and sleepless nights. It resulted in a beautiful addition to our family, Juliet Reign Garvin, born November 11, 2024. Oh how we love her! Many pictures of the baby will follow. Savanna had a traumatic birth experience and is still trying to recover, despite the travail she is doing a wonderful job caring for her newborn. McKay had three weeks off work to help mom and baby adjust. I only took off three days of work during the difficult week she was born and go over when I can to help, trying to get used to the idea that I'm a grandma! Fiora was an immense help, and Jared and Weston helped when they could. I'm very impressed with how my little family stepped up to be there for Savanna during this transition to motherhood. We had to extend our reach for help when things got too much, and we are grateful for Savannas in law the Garvins, extended family, and friends who responded and cared for the baby, gave money or words of support, or brought meals. Thankfully little Juliet is healthy and thriving, other than a tongue tie making nursing difficult (she takes a bottle like a champ!) she is a perfect little angel. My Savanna is a mom!
