November 2022

Wrapping up another month! I had some spare time at work so I figured I write this month's post a couple days early. The next two days will be more of the same: run dog, get ready, drive to work at the MTC, work til 5, drive home, make sourdough. The exciting stuff has already happened this month, as outlined below.

--First of all appreciate this Amazing photo with Sav and McKay as models (they worked really hard on those costumes!) done by Jesse and Kelsey.

--Sleepover at a hotel with Grandma Barrett and Katy Sue in Tooele and attending Katy Sue's baptism. I got to sing with Katy Sue which was so fun, then after the whole family wen to Denny's. Jared was very patient with all his nieces and nephews :)

--Weekly calls from Weston at the Brazil MTC and his first couple weeks in his new area Jagurao. His trainer is named Elder Richins. Its been a rough adjustment but Weston is handling it like a champ!

--Nails by Savanna and facial by Fiora, love spending that time with my girls!!!

--Horse ride at the Highland Arena and getting two barn cats to take care of the multitude of mice on our farm. The girls named them Dyper and Zorro. Jared also got a winter horse trail-ride in with his brothers and horse buddies.

--Quick trip down to St George to visit Heidi and Gabe, have a "pre thanksgiving feast" at Golden Corral, and watch Trevan play the lead in his high school musical Tarzan. He did amazing! We also did a "color run" and hiked in Snow canyon while we were there.

--Starting our basement remodel, expanding the family room by demolishing a bedroom and making the other large bedroom into two smaller bedrooms, so there are still two bedrooms down there. Before and during pictures below, after pictures coming in December.

--Making my gingerbread house a "barn-dominuim" with all the calico critters Katy Sue let me borrow in exchange for the sleepover.

--Thanksgiving with the Barretts this year, I bein the sole attendee from my family as Jared got COVID and my kids were all elsewhere. Jared was feeling up to taking a thanksgiving hike with me and the goats that morning though which was fun. I didn't get much pictures of thanksgiving, I was struggling with grief and anger for those two days. Jared had to really push me to even do Christmas decorations. But I'll be alright, nothing as constant as change, all part of the plan right?

--Jared and Savanna recovering from COVID :(  Me thankfully not getting it which I attribute to getting the inoculation shot in Oct, or just a miracle, either way I'm thankful.

--Not pictured but definitely a highlight, Jared and I attended MTC Vocal Point appreciation concert for medical and mental health workers. All the missionaries cheered for us and those beautiful boys sang their hearts out for us, it was super uplifting and spiritual.
