I may have taken a record low amount of pictures this month. The only reason I am still doing this blog is for the sake of Weston, so he can have some pictures and an overview of things going on at home. Us empty nesters are kind of boring nowadays.
Jared an I spent most of our spare time during this record breaking snow laden January in our newly remodeled basement watching movies and cuddling under a blanket. We managed to get out one Saturday to do some snowshoeing. The sun was out that day, I think I counted only 3 days it wasn't overcast in January, so despite how hard the hike was (I was fighting off a cold and we had to hike quite a ways to get to the snow) I was very grateful we got outside. Jared has been up to hike/snowshoe numerous times and got some good views of the elk that are down low due to snowpack.
Lillian's 16th birthday was January 15th. We had a dinner party with Savanna and Mckay.
Savanna spent a lot of time preparing for and then playing "Grace" in the Liahona production of "Annie." She did a marvelous job and not only made that play amazing , but supported all those junior high kids in doing their parts. It was the best junior high production of anything we've ever seen.
We helped my sisters and brother move on a snowy Saturday. It was fun to work and serve, couldn't have done it without Jared's help and trailer.
Jared and I spent a day up in Odgen with Fiora going to lunch and seeing a movie, that was a fun day. We had some neighbors over for dinner one night to fill the empty hours of our evenings, I woke up happy the next day for doing something social for once.
We love our weekly calls from Weston and I added my favorite picture of him for the month of January. Miss that boy! But love his emails and all the good he is doing on his mission. I'm working hard learning Portuguese so I can maybe serve a mission in brazil myself someday.
