January 2025

January was a little slower and restful and snowy and cold. Even on Civil Rights day when I had a day off we just went on a goat hike, organized the house and chilled at home. But lots of time with Juliet who is getting interactive and cute and strong! So lots of pictures of her. We love our little Granddaughter. She is a delight. Savanna is doing a wonderful job as a stay at home mom taking care of Jellybean and trying to get enough sleep. She bravely took Juliet to get her tongue tie clipped, and Fiora helped her during that scary ordeal.

Weston started school at Utah State and live in a dorm in Logan. We got to go with him to help him move in and get him set up that first week. He is meeting lots of good people and doing well in his classes and calling. We miss him but are proud of his hard work and good direction in life. 

McKay got a new job at a jewelry company in Draper and starts next week. We are excited for him and grateful he found something more in his line of interest and more lucrative. Praying that goes well for him. 

I was able to do a lot of temple work this month on names Weston reserved on the Schauers line. These ancestors were discovered by Justin Schauers when he went to Slovenia, so he and Shawna joined us for the sealing ordinances January 29th, and it was a very special and spiritual experience for all of us. We are so grateful to be close to temples of the Lord and be apart of this sacred work.

Other odds and ends: I had a Accelerated Resolution Therapy training with some colleagues from Family Services. I was able to go to lunch with my dear friends those three days, and dinner with Jenni Turley at Tubaron which is very fancy and expensive, but I didn't feel too bad because Jared had taken an impromptu flight to Denver with his brother Justin for two days that same weekend. We had my parents over for dinner one evening and my house was full of laughter and fun that day. I'm keeping up on my exercise goals working out 45-60 min every morning except sunday and working toward being able to do 3 pull ups by July. The last day of the month we had a fun date with Jaren and Kynsie Raymond for Jaren's birthday which was delightful!
