My sister Heidi and I schemed a camping trip this weekend. The school system may think summer is over, but we know there are a good two weeks of good hot weather to enjoy. Just an overnight stay in Nuns park. Gabe and Jared fished most of the trip, but it was fun to catch up with Heidi, and Jesse and Kelsy joined us also. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had a dutch oven breakfast casserole that was to die for! The kids loved hiking to Bridal Veil falls and playing in the pool under the waterfall and running in and out of the tents. Savanna kept saying "Pretend we were camping..." Jared and Gabe caught several fish, four of which were huge enough to take home and cook up! We want to do it again next year!

Looks like fun! And Weston must have recovered....
You certainly are creative! What fun and what adventure.
We were going to go to a cabin this weekend, but we have to do a ward activity. Argh. Still, we went camping in October last year! Summer aint over til you say it is.
What fun! I think camping would be even better now, because it's not sooo hot.
YES - that was a fun little get away and I am so happy you brought all that yummy food! Thanks.
