October 2018, including Cruise Fall break trip

I only got a few shots of October NOT on the trip, and picture overload ON the trip, so we will do the non trip stuff first. A couple throw-back shots of the girls, as they are getting older I'm starting to miss my cute babies. These girls had my heart. Savanna has been working so hard this month on her Cedar Hills Youth Theater play "Suessical the Musical" which I will write about next month as it doesn't actually show until tomorrow. She has been attending every day of school except missed a week of school for our trip so had to do some catch up for that, but still found time to do her nanny job. She had youth conference for 5 days up at Aspen Grove which she enjoyed. Fiora missed a choir concert unfortunately when we had our trip which was stressful as it's 40% of her grade, she has been diligently trying to keep up on her grades and homework. She hooked up with a guy who dumped her right before our trip, but she got over him quick and made a friend on the cruise. She is still practicing driving, cuddles a lot with her cat Pepper, and helps around the house. She is an expert chicken catcher and helped me coral these two old chickens to get rid of them because they keep feather pecking the others.

Off to LPA Youth Conference

Weston had a choir concert that thankfully he didn't miss because of the trip, as he had a solo in it and did great. He was selected to be in a Junior High Honors choir that will rehearse and perform in Salt Lake in January, and thankfully he doesn't have any gym meets that week so he can participate. He loves to play with the dog and the cat and is still doing his gymnastics training every day, and despite that still has straight A's!
Heather has been working hard at LDS family services, and Successful therapy, and taking care of the house and animals. She has also found time three times this month to babysit Suzette Carpenter my cute niece and loves playing with her.

Jared has been working hard up at the mountain home we share with Justin and Shawna, which has been finished this month, hooray! He got me Heather up there working cleaning and organizing and putting things together a couple saturdays this month, one of which they didn't have heat going and I was quite cold and uncomfortable, but the now the heat is going and it feels great. The Sanctuary at Bellewood is what I call it, and it is a lovely place to go.

Now on to the trip to the Caribbean. 8 days of fun, relaxation, waiting, and entertainment.
Oct 14 Day 1: traveling to florida, going to church in Miami, waiting to board, eating, and familiarizing ourselves with the agenda and cruise ship. One drawback we had separate rooms on opposite sides of the ship so a lot of walking back and forth.

Oct 15, Day 2: At sea, water slides, rock climbing, ropes course, sad attempt of the crusie line to do an escape room, Karaoke, and eating/napping.

Oct 16 Day 3, also at sea. And our anniversary! Jared bought me a rose and we had dinner just the two of us. The kids spent time in the Entourage lounge and made friends, Fiora in particular, I think this was the night I woke up at 2:00 am and she wasn't in the room so I prayed she would come back and when that didn't work, I had to search the ship at 3:30 to find her roaming around with this guy she met.
19 year anniversary October 16
Oct 17 Day 4: Excursion day in St Thomas. We just found a shuttle to the beach and snorkled for most of the day, we saw a ton of fish at this island, and we got rained on a little but mostly the weather was perfect. Savanna and Jared got off again after lunch and shopped around. The shuttle driver drove us on a skyline drive of the island and we got a nice family picture at the top.

Oct 18 Day 5: Excursion day in Tortolla. We got on a shuttle to Virgin Gorda and hiked around the Baths and snorkled at Devil's bay. I thought this was the prettiest Island we went to. We got some nice family pictures here too.

Oct 19 Day 6: at sea traveling to Nassau. Lots of good dining and entertainment. Savanna tried the ropes course and I did the water slides. Relaxing day. Best cruise show I've ever seen--the Million dollar Quartet--really amazing.

Oct 20 Day 7: Nassau Bahamas. We waiting an hour to get off and there were a million people at the port city. We found a city tour bus and got off at the queens stair case, a fishery, a rum cake factory, Atlantis the huge resort, and souvenir shopping. We also got off at a beach and swam snorkled again, but there wasn't much to see here in the water, we did get to see one of the big cruise liners leave the port though.

Oct 21 Day 8 pack up and leave. A lot of waiting to get off, we found a church to attend and that killed time before our flight home. Lots of waiting to get on our plane. Glad to be home safe. Good memories with our children and fun times in the sun. Very grateful for the trip!
