March 2021

March was a hard month but full of a few surprises and blessings. God answered my prayers in multiple ways in the midts of the difficulties. Focus on God not the storm.

I got a beautiful nail makeover to honor Easter. Sparkly pastel egg nails. I got to watch Karli Sue's boys while she got her nails done by Savanna. I snapped a picture of little Ammon. I also got to watch Kelsy's kids while she got her nails done. I love to see my nieces and nephews and love to support Sav's business.

Savanna is really building her nail business and is doing such a great job at her Sirene Salon. She is also continuing her foot zoning master class. She comes home to visit often and that makes us happy. Check out her great artwork on Instagram @nailtechsavvy

Fiora graduated from Mandalyn Academy with her Master's Esthetician license. Because of COVID only 2 people got to come watch the ceremony. So Cade Trappett and myself were lucky enough to be there. She will also be walking with her senior class at PGHS in May if you would like to attend. :)

Fiora moved out shortly after her graduation. She lives in Ogden now and was fortunate enough to be offered a job at a medical spa so she can do the masters esthetician skills she wants to do full time. We are very happy her schooling has provided her a job! I put a cute picture of Fiora when she was a child on here to commemorate my child making her own way.

I missed Fiora a lot and had to redo her room which used to be our guest room and I sleep in there now. It is beautiful and serene. I would rather have Fiora but it is nice to have a new bed and new rugs and a quiet place to sleep other than my office. Fiora came home the next weekend to visit and Sav joined us on an outing to get Sushi.

Weston participated in a talent show put on by our stake for the youth. He played the bass guitar in a little band. It was cold but fun to see him play. He got it in his head that he wanted to try his hand at drums so he bought himself an electric drum set with his own money. Jared and I are amazed how well he already plays.

Weston also was campaigning to be in the student council at PGHS for his senior year. He is also doing track team and had his first meet in a very rainy day and another meed on a very windy day. The weather in March has not been nice. He is still dog grooming and has lots of hard classes this year, including Jazz Choir of which he did a nice concert this month, and he still manages to practice his guitar. Wow! Jared and I are trying to savor this time with him now that we have had two of our other children move on already.

I decided to learn a "new song" as a therapist, which happens to be a concerto. I took the EMDR training weekend for three days... all day for three days between two busy work weeks. The cost on my physical and mental health was great, but the knowledge I got was great as well and I'm now practicing my new skill and already seeing good results. I've wanted to be an EMDR therapist for 10 years and this year I can say I am.

On one of the hardest days of this month, Jared came in and told me he found a way to get the cement pad out of our back yard. This is also something I've wanted for 10 years! I was dumbfounded, then cried tears of joy. Blake Jensen demolished our cement and hauled it away. I can now make a garden in a flat sunny spot of our yard! I am so very grateful.

On a funny note I didn't do anything to celebrate st patricks day, but ALL DAY was reminded that it was indeed a day to be celebrating by wearing green, making green food, and doing green activities with my children by my whole family on marco polo all day. It was totally comical how much they all get into it.
