June 2022

There was one very significant event that came to pass in June, on my grandmas birthday June 1 our son Weston received his mission call, serving in Porto Alegre Brazil South speaking Portuguese and starting the MTC Oct 3. We are very proud of Weston making the decision to give two years of his life to serve the Lord and spread the gospel. Thanks to those who joined online or came in person to support him as he opened his call. We love you and will miss you Weston.

Other June events included Weston's last Zion's camp, last High Adventure Camp, both of which Jared attended as well as he is still serving in Young Men's calling, and Weston's 18th birthday which he celebrated mostly with friends but we took him to breakfast at Kneaders for presents. It's Barrett Birthday season so I attended some birthday parties, Kynsie who turned 27 represents. I was home alone a lot in June, holding down the fort, and took a record low amount of pictures this month.

Savanna started doing my nails again after a three month break, her books are full and its hard to get an appointment anymore! I'm proud of the success she is having. Jared and Mckay went fishing, fun. I got to go to Ogden to get a facial and leg wax from Fiora, loved that. Wind made it hard to enjoy the outdoors in June, we had one beautiful excursion to the mountains with Fiora for 15 minutes, ate sushi and played frisbee before the wind storm drove us back home. McKay's parents Ruth and Steve Garvin stayed with us one night, Sav redecorated the back patio just in time for their visit.

June otherwise I was mourning the imminent loss of my last child at home and realizing I have lots of work to do but need more friends, especially if Jared is going to keep going on camps and horse rides and such. We do manage to get out and run the goats now and then lol. Sav and Fiora went to a beauty convention in Las Vegas together and had a fabulous time, but I don't have any pictures.
