February 2021

I had my nails done by Nail Tech Savvy twice in February, once at the beginning and once at the end of the month. My pink valentine nails were pretty enough for a formal ball. But I love my ice fire dark blue nails just as much. Savanna finished her apprenticeship and earned her nail tech license, and found a salon in Orem to rent a booth from and is an independent nail girl at last! She also offers foot zoning and pedicures in her services. She may have to work a part time job for a while to make ends meet until she gets a steady flow of clients to her salon, so I'm trying to get her as many clients as I can.

Savanna decided to try a move to Provo so she could be closer to her work and maybe change up the social scene. I helped her find a place and move stuff, Riley Wilkinson came and helped too and was very encouraging that she was closer to him, he is at BYU. Jared helped move the big stuff with his trailer. The place she found is not ideal but what is for $400 a month anymore? She will have to move in July again, having faith the tide will bring in a good opportunity there for her.

Speaking of Riley we have very much enjoyed having him around and try to get him over for Sunday dinner whenever we can.

Fiora celebrated her 18th birthday on Feb 13. We had a really fun day celebrating her life with our traditional birthday breakfast, going to the aquarium, and waiting in a snow storm for a table at Cheesecake Factory. Cade Trappett joined us and we all had a splendid time together. Fiora got some money to get her hair done and some items she has been needing like a lamp and 10 foot charger. We love our Fiora.

Weston started track and field at PGHS and had to have a few doctors check ups to register for that. He is looking good and healthy, and getting back into shape. He is always happier after a work out, even if it's in the cold and uphill for two miles. Weston is still playing the guitar daily and is amazing at it. He was invited to sing the Star Spangled Banner in a quartet for a basketball game too. He manages to squeeze in dog clients and homework in there somewhere.

Don't mind all the pictures of me, I was trying to get a perfect shot for my Valentines Day gift to Jared, wanting to put a pretty picture in a frame with flower petals all around it. Which one is your favorite? Jared one upped me and got me a really nice gift box from Lush with wonderful smelling oils, soaps, and bath bombs.

Also lots of random food shots. We love the smoker and making dishes that rival the best restaurants out there is fun. We also acquired 5 more chickens, my neighbor was culling some of her older hens that happen to be the same age as my hens, so I risked integration. It has gone well so far and I'm getting plenty of farm fresh eggs, if anyone wants some let me know!

Other than lots of snow and cold that's about it for Feb. We celebrated my brother Justin's birthday a little early, the last day of Feb, and enjoyed a party at his house. Sweet Luella let me hold her for a while.
