November 2019

So much happened in November
I had a SW conference Nov 1st and found out a full time position was opening up at my office, and spent the next couple weeks applying for a praying about it. Then the next couple weeks doing two interviews. I have another interview next week and if they approve of me I will pick a start date. That has filled my mind with many questions about the future, but overall I feel peace and like this is what I am meant to be doing at this time. I'm grateful God can use me despite my weaknesses.
Savanna returned home from her humanitarian service trip in Ecuador Nov 22. I was so happy to be able to hug her again. We had a big party for her homecoming and I'm grateful to the people who came over to welcome her home. Her boyfriend Joey Jones has been a package deal since her return which is wonderful too, more family more blessings. Savanna is very grateful to be home and is doing well, misses the kids in Ecuador, and I'm so proud of the work she did there!
Fiora has been working hard seeing her school counselor, coming up with an education plan, touring aesthetician schools, and getting approval to apply at Mandalyn academy for her senior year. She wants to start in June so she has been preparing early, which I'm proud of her for. got her wisdom teeth out Nov 26th and has been recovering from that this week. She gave us some good laughs while coming out of anesthesia, but scared me a little getting the IV. I forget sometimes what a phobia she has of needles!
Weston has been in some kind of military grade wrestling boot camp this month. Wrestling season started and he has had twice a day practices for two weeks, an over night conditioning practice, and a wrestle-off match for varsity spots. It has been somewhat of a challenge getting him home after school since we never know when the coach is going to end wrestling practice each day. He won two of his matches at the wrestle off, so he is learning fast, is very strong, and we are really proud of him too. He had to wear a 20 lb weight vest during his all night conditioning, I wore it for one workout and was a noodle all day and so sore the next. Wow.
Jared is remodeling another investment home he and Justin bought in Orem which keeps him busy. He is very supportive of me making a career upgrade and I'm thankful for him being willing to step up with helping Weston with wrestling as he can't quite drive yet. He takes me on dates now and then to keep me going.
I've been able to have several people over to share my gingerbread house with. Hosted a few dinners and invited others over. It's so fun to see kids look through it and though it's mediocre at best people have been gracious in their compliments. I won't bother putting pictures of expert renditions, I'll just post what I've been able to accomplish as I get better every year! It's fun to have a reason for people to come over, that's what I love best. I made some smaller panels from scratch for Wes and Fiora to make houses with and that alone took all afternoon. I can see why the kits are so popular.
We spent thanksgiving with the Snows and Schauers this year and feel very grateful for our good friends and family, we pray for their well being and health as we all get on in years. Of course we got the tree up the day after thanksgiving and can't believe November is already over.
