June 2017

For my next trick today, I will recap all of June

Jared bought me a ziplining excursion for my birthday. Our first attempt was basically a free ride up the lifts at Sundance because the winds were too strong to allow us to zip down and they had to reschedule us. Beautiful morning anyway!

June is my favorite month, everything is green and the sun is warm and its perfect weather in the evening to sit outside and look at the view. A tree swing in the summer my special kind of joy.

Heidi sends me pics of her kids now and then so I can bask in their cuteness. Its great with me because she doesn't post near enough pictures of them on facebook!

Actually the Sunday before memorial day, Karli sue sent me these cute pictures of Weston and Robbie.

Spencer Weight married Heather his sweetheart on June 3rd. This picture is at his reception, Fiora holding cute Ava, both looking a little to pretty for their own good. The couple was married in the Payson temple and it was a beautiful sealing!

Jared made me watch the NBA finals with him, he was fun to cuddle with, but the second day of this I had Weston doing tricks on his mushroom in front of the tv so I could watch something I was interested in, gymnastics forever.

Krystal and Kollin Williams both have birthdays in June and we had a fun picnic at Highland pond celebrating their days. There was water balloons, wagon rides, and wading in the pond.Weston actually got in and swam at the end.

Weston loves this dog. Good thing too, because no one else in the house ever wants to play with him anymore but Weston. They are a fun pack.

Weston turned 13 on June 14th!!! Fun fun fun. He requested crepes for his birthday breakfast and roller blading at Classic Skating for his party. He had a family party this year and he cousins Trevan, Travis, Kayden, Mehki and Sylvan came for skating. That sunday we had the whole Barrett family over for celebration of Joseph, Weston, and Father's day.

Weston was born on Flag Day, always get a flag in our yard on his birthday.

Oh yeah, and he also requested Chik Fil A for his birthday dinner. We love Weston and are so happy he was given to our family!

Fiora is still taking horse lessons this summer. She may be getting a little tired of it at this point, but in the summer she gets to lope and trot out in the pasture which has got to be better that circles in the warehouse! Looks fun to me anyway.

As part of my church calling I was in charge of a humanitarian activity called Simply Serve, where we set up 7 service projects for sisters to come contribute their labor towards. I made these signs for the stations and took some pictures of the set up. We had a successful evening getting our projects accomplished.

Weston was getting sick all the time, whenever he went camping or traveled or stayed at someones house over night, and so we got him an appointment with an immunologist. He checked his allergy levels and we found out he is allergic to lots of outside things and to dogs and cats, bummer, so his nose drips in the back of his throat instead of the front and causes chronic sinus infections that tax his immune system. He had a CT scan done of his sinuses and sure enough a bad infection, antibiotics and Allegra for this boy. But thankfully before he went to scout camp so he wasn't sick the whole time.

I grandma-sat and helped watch this cutie while my parents were at a funeral in idaho and Krystal/Kollin on a birthday overnighter. It all went smoothly thanks to Joseph and Rachel's help.

Fiora and Savanna were off to girls camp this month. Savanna went despite feeling sick with anxiety and ulcers still, and had some struggles but also some fun. Fiora did pretty well. We had them gone all week June 19-23 and then Weston gone the entire next week to scout camp. Weird without the kids here.

My cousin Rachelle stopped by on her way to a conference in Idaho, its always a joy to see her. I love that she likes to stay at my house so we can visit and catch up. Love her.

While the girls were at camp I moved all Weston's stuff out of his room and moved Savanna's stuff into his room, to give Savanna a change of environment. Weston's room is brighter and has a nicer closet for a teen girl.  Redoing rooms needs to happen now and then, we got rid of a lot of junk! She was a little stunned when she got home but eventually came to like the idea. Weston likes being in Savanna's old room with her high bed and more shelf space for his legos.

2nd attempt zip lining was a success! Jared and I enjoyed 4 high speed lines over the mountain slopes at Sundance, the last line going up to 65 miles per hour for 3/4 a mile! It was exhilarating. I wasn't feeling good that day but that really lifted my spirits. Beautiful views.

And to end this month Jared had one of the busiest weeks of his life covering for Justin who is out of town, trying to help my parents find a house to possibly move into for the sake of Grandma R for better handicap accessibility and closer to her family, visit Weston at scout camp, and drive to Great Falls Montana to go to his friend's dad's funeral. I had to do all the dog running and morning chores by myself this last week, lol.  Also my client load has been steady, usually eases up in the summer but not so much. So we are hard at work over here. Grateful to be happy, healthy, and with each other this month.
