Busy June

There is always so much going on I feel like I get WAY behind on blogging even if its only been a couples weeks since my last post. Going chronologically, here is a run down.

June 7th: My Aunt Betty Ann organized a Rappleye girls night so I got to have dinner with my cousins at Brick Oven, I spent a lot of time growing up with my Rappleye cousins, but get to see them virtually never now that we all have families of our own, so it was a real treat to get to see these ladies I love and respect and catch up with them.

June 9th: Krystal's birthday, we went to my parents and were treated to a 7 course dinner while listening to Krystal perform 19 songs for her 19th birthday. What a talented and beautiful sister I have!

June 11th: I've been trying to do some form of exercise every day in attempts to keep my blood sugar more regulated, running along the canal in the early morning I have been seeing some deer wandering around, pretty cool.
Can you see the deer?

June 14th: Weston's birthday. Weston was the lucky recipient of a new bike this year. He also got a friend party to Jump on It, (trampoline wonderland) and I actually jumped for an hour with the kids, and he got some great Avengers legos he wanted at a family party at the Barrett's that evening in Eagle Mountain. We've been roasting hotdogs over fire pits a lot lately, and we did that night too. That was a busy day for me, I had 4 piano lessons and a therapy client in the midst of all that celebrating.

June 16th: Savanna and I enjoyed a fun Lindon Stake activity for mothers and daughters at Aspen Lakes called "Daughters of Valor."  The primary leaders put on quite a production from 11 to 4!  We made picture frames, went canoeing, went through a  ropes course, had spiritual messages, enjoyed a nice lunch, did a service project, and the girls were grouped into different colors and made cheers and decorated a group flag.  Savanna had a great time!

June 17th: Father's day.  Jared got some really great cards from the kids for Father's day, and blueberry pancakes for breakfast. We love you Jared! You are a GREAT dad!!!  We had a nice dinner at the Snows that evening and were able to be there for Austin Snow's ordination as an Elder.

June 18th: We went to Timpanogos park in the canyons to celebrate my brother Josephs 12th birthday.  We had another hot dog roast over the coals and Joseph had a really cool s'mores cake my mom made. Karli gave my dad a ball in the mail (we didn't know you could do that) with funny messages and Alanisms all over it, what a cool fathers day gift!  I just gave Dad hot dog pokers.

June 19th-21st: I feel like I'm always carting the kids hither and yon to this and that.  Weston has had soccer camp twice a week for the month of June and fortunately there is a friend in our ward whose son goes there too so we have been carpooling.   Savanna's violin lessons are Tuesday, we both had orthodontist/dentist appointments this week, and we took Grandma dinner this week which we always enjoy. Savanna talked me into taking her swimming yesterday, we got all the way to Seven Peaks and then decided to go to the BYU art museum instead because of the crowd, and then came back to PG and went to the local pool there for about the same price we would have paid to park at Seven Peaks. We enjoyed the Islamic Art exhibit at the MOA and swimming at the PG pool.

I'm so glad you continue to update your blog! Time goes by so fast and I hardly see you it seems. It's nice to feel a little more connected through our blogs:)

And amidst all of this you should have made a random trip to AZ with your sister-in-law Shauna so that you too could randomly run into me at church. Come on down sometime! :)

How fun! You really do have such a great dad & mom. Your house was always open to friends and your parents were so kind, I really appreciated that! And I love that s'mores cake-what a great idea.
