I forgot to post the funny picture Fiora drew of Jared's 4-wheeling adventures! It definitely needs to be in the blog book.
Also here is a cool picture we got of Weston at the Pine Wood Derby.

Jared's Moab Picture
Jared's not about to draft a blog post, but I will put his pictures on at least. One nice thing about the Schauers guys is they take pictures when they do fun things, I've always liked that about Jared.

The fun keeps going!
So much happened at the end of October. I hosted a party for the Primary children who practiced their program songs, and was expecting 12 children and 20 came. It was a bit chaotic but fun was had by most of the kids I believe. We made pizzas and played games, and I think it was brave of me to offer that to the kids, don't know if I'll do it again next year.
Then Halloween was upon us, and we again survived the added stresses of dressing up and having parties and candy everywhere. Weston wanted to be a ninja, and we don't have a ninja costume, so he created one out of his own wardrobe that worked. I felt a bit guilty for not just getting him a cool ninja costume when I saw all the amazing costumes at the school parade, he seemed content though. Fiora borrowed a hippy costume from the neighbors, she kept saying she wanted to be a zombie from the 80's and I just didn't know how to pull that off effectively so she settled on the hippy. I thought she looked groovy. Savanna didn't really have any costume idea in mind, and I don't mess with Savanna and costumes anymore (if you know our history its pretty traumatic for her and me on Halloween). At literally the last minute (we left at 5:25, she thought of this at 5.24) she threw on this dress and shawl and I threw flour on her hair and she went to the trunk or treat as an old lady. This year we had a record breaking 1 trick-or-treater come to our door on Halloween.
I hosted a piano recital the Friday after Halloween. I have 4 students and Weston that I teach so it doesn't take long but it was still fun to hear how the kids are progressing. Fiora did some clogging and Savanna did some violin so it was more like a talent show than a recital. I had chips and homemade salsa for refreshments, and people just don't partake of refreshments when its healthy like they do when its donuts or something. Oh well, I enjoyed it.
Fiora was mandatory registered to participate in the Clogging Autumnfest competition up at the Rose Wagner Theater in Salt Lake. She was super nervous about it. We practiced her solo many many times and she did a great job. It was a big production, and fun to see all the intermediate cloggers compete. One boy threw up on the stage before Fiora was up and that made her cry with anxiety for a little bit, but she was brave and went out and performed. Good job Fiora!
While we were in Salk lake we made a family outing of it. We walked through City Creek and got some lunch, and visited Temple Square. Savanna did NOT want to be there, and put her hood over her head and lagged behind most of the day, but since we know the wisdom of having the whole family together we forced her to come. :) Silly Savanna.
We also took some time to stop at Scheels and ride the Ferris Wheel.
Turns out Savanna is still afraid of heights and ferris wheels.
Savanna ran into a boulder at the neighbor's house and might have broken her toe. She has been limping around for the past 3 days and complaining (a lot) about how bad it hurts. She wore one slipper to school yesterday and looked very gimpy. Today she put on her regular shoe, maybe its getting better or maybe she doesn't want to explain to people that its not "crazy shoe day" at school anymore!
