April 2025

Felt like April was running at a very fast pace, really just lots to do. Work, spring, Easter, and babysitting! Here are the highlights. Whew! Hoping May is a little less intense to be honest. But feel very blessed for good family, good health and good memories. And the Good Lord we celebrated!!

--Still transitioning to being a grandma, every event now includes a beautiful little baby! Juliet turned 5 months old this month and gets cuter and cuter every day.

--General conference--watched Juliet both days while listening.

--Weston came to visit from Logan to watch conferences with us.

--Goat hike up dry canyon with Jared--took Sky not Juliet. Lots of yard work this month.

--Schauers Family Sunday dinner and mini birthday sing to Ethan. Took Lexi Schauers out to brunch.

--Birthday dinner with my friend and boss Shannon Young, she is 66 and still going strong!

--Savanna visits Jared with Juliet at his office now and then, he loves it! He likes to take her in his baby backpack on walks when the weather is nice.

--Saw season 5 of the Chosen in theaters as prep for Easter with Jared, my mom and Krystal.

--Temple trip with Jared, beautiful spring flowers.

--Babysit Juliet once a week and they come for Sunday dinners and I love spending time with her.

--Getting closer to my goal of being able to do 1 pull up, I can hold myself above the bar now.

--Progress on the Provo temple I watch construction from my MTC office window every day.

--Getting the farm field ready for the egg hunt, killing thistles.

--Juliet finds her easter basket! She was the cutest bunny ever. Such a good baby.

--Weston visits again for Easter. He and Savanna and McKay get baskets too. I took Fiora's to her.

--Barrett family easter party and egg hunt was a big success! Mock Triumphal Entry was fun with a real horse and many kids waving palm leaves and laying down their "robes." Soup salad and sourdough at our house after. And pinning down a venue for the Barrett family reunion in 2026 was a huge miracle!

--Beautiful worshipful Easter Sunday program for sacrament meeting I got to help put together, and perform in the choir.

--Rachelle comes to visit and stay with us while in UT. We went to Sarah Wilkinson's graduation and she and Kaiya Wilkinson come with me to the Orem temple. Love playing games with them!

--Financial Future Family meeting at Jared's office with Sav, Mckay and Wes, and dinner after. Jared's helping them invest early for their retirement.

--Weston comes back after a successful semester at Utah State (got good grades and met a bunch of good people and did a lot of singing!). Sadly he is leaving tomorrow to go to Missouri for summer sales. Glad for every minute I had with him.

--My brave dad completed his radiation prostate cancer treatment, now on to recovery! He has had a rough time and we prayed for him a lot. Love you dad!
