Mom can have sugar now
My substance abuse class assignment to abstain from something I ingest that I love is over. Here I am opening the candy my kids wrapped up from Halloween and saved for me. It was harder on them than me I think. They didn't like the idea of having to be off sweets at all. I guess we've conditioned them as true North Americans, sugar's in everything in our culture.

Congratulations! I went completely off sugar for a few months last year for weight and health reasons. I remember the first time I had sugar after such a break, it was way too sweet and gave me an awful headache. Unfortunately, that reaction ended and I am back to eating sugar quite normally again. I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas and that your finals go smoothly. Love ya.
Yay! I don't know how you did it! That was pretty nice of one of your kids to save a whole Butterfinger for you! :)
Heather thats great! Im glad they saved you some treats- you have such a cute family!
That's funny. My kids couldn't care less when I stop eating sweets. Maybe they empathize because they pretty much eat NOTHING. Hmmm . . .
