Sunday was a sea day so we stayed on the ship. J, W, and H had breakfast in the dining hall and met the others in our room at 10 am for a family devotional. Juliette got sick! Poor thing had a faucet nose and a cough, but bless her she still had smiles and wanted to explore everything. I attempted a spiritual thought on gratitude while keeping Juju entertained, giving thanks to God for this opportunity and blessings on the trip. Everyone took a turn saying what they were grateful for so far, David's was that he wasn't seasick. :) We planned the day a bit, deciding to meet for lunch at Indulge at noon and at the splashpad at 2:30.
Juju doesn't sit still for very long, and they didn't have a highchair available at Indulge so I was her chair and all her avocado and pasta on on my white shirt, oops. I walked her around a bit while the others finished up and tried not to be embarrassed that my shirt looked like a dirty baby bib. S and M put her down for a nap and I napped myself. The others tried the dry slides, water slide and arcade. After I woke up I went up to the splashpad a bit early to get us chairs, so excited to play with Juju in the water. The water was a bit cold and with her runny nose she probably didn't appreciate being wet but she walked all around and tried to play. She did her best to enjoy but was shivery and fell down a lot, after a bad fall we decided to take her to the pool instead. Unfortunately, and much to our disappointment the entire trip, the lifeguard stopped us and said no kids allowed that are not toilet-trained in the pool (but I snapped a picture for the 1 minute she had in the pool ha). That put a damper on the mood--no playing in the pool with Juju ever? Kids not toilet trained aren't allowed in the daycare either. This Viva was proving to be not-kid-friendly.
I cleaned and changed Juju and chased her around the ship while the others enjoyed the pool. While everyone cleaned up J and H read our books. We met at the Comodore dining room for dinner. Fiora came late and said David was sleeping and they would meet us there later. I was rather disappointed we didn't get a family picture, but when they came later and David was trying to be so upbeat and happy with us I was grateful they made the effort to meet us. We basically had to take turns taking Juliette out of the dinning room, she was super sick and tired and again got my dress all dirty somehow. After dinner I offered to stay in Sav's room listening for Juju while the others watched the late shows. They came back at 10 pm and I walked back to my room where Wes and Jar were watching Freakier Friday, so I stayed up late and watched the rest with them. Whew! A lot of work and a lot of fun.
