This was Cozumel Mexico day. Because J and H have already visited Cozumel, we offered to watch Juju while McKay and Savanna went on an excursion together to swim with the dolphins. Dav, Fi, and Wes went on a different land and snorkel excursion the three of them. We met all together at the buffet for breakfast at 8 am and I ate what I could as quick as possible so I could take care of Juju. The food here is mediocre so it's fine to scarf it down. M and S passed the baby, her stroller, water and diaper bag to me and Jared, with instructions on how to put her down for a nap. They all disembarked for their excursions while we took our time getting ready and off the ship, planning to just walk the port with Juliette.
It was actually pretty fun. Juju pitched a couple fits but mostly stayed in her stroller and made cute noises while we walked all over Cozumel. We bought her a Boneca at one shop, a dolly, and she liked holding that for a while. We stopped at a park and let her slide and climb. We saw a huge real dragon lizard and funny metal animals. We stopped at a rocky outcropping and let her fell the ocean. She was cute with her water spritzer and soaked herself a few times. It was very hot and humid and I sweated a lot. Jared looked in some leather shops. We stopped for gelato at 11, the AC was most welcome and we needed a bathroom break. She liked that treat and got to walk around there.
We got back on the ship around noon and ate some lunch at the buffet. Juju was poopy (she pooped like 4 times a day on this trip and they ran out of diapers the last day :0), so I took her to her room to change her and put her to bed. She fell asleep directly but I failed to remember Sav's instruction to turn on the noisemaker and *sigh* she woke up too early. We tried our best to entertain her on the sip the rest of the afternoon--explored the minigolf course, ping pong, foot soccer. It was pretty funny when we accidentally passed Sav and McK sleeping on lounge chairs by the pool, Juju totally recognized them but just walked right past ha ha. I went down the dry slide while Jared walked her around then Jared tried it. We stayed in our stateroom for the last hour cuz it was so hot outside. Wes, Fi and Dav came to our room around 4 and told us about their fun time eating tacos and snorkeling. S and M came a bit after that and told us about their fun time with the dolphins. Success and sunburns were had by all.
I tried to read and rest a bit before dinner but was too worn out and hyped up and in rather a sour mood before dinner. Jared noticed and was very kind. I shook it off and enjoyed the buffet dinner. M and S wrestled with Juju who was now so sick she had a low grade fever. Poor baby. I took her and hugged her and loved her as much as I could. Wes had fallen asleep before dinner so I went to get him before we all left and when I came back to our table Mckay had a blue plastic toy wrapped around his head. He later put it on his face and it suctioned to his face so tight he couldn't get it off or breathe, and ended up snapping himself in the nose trying to get it off. It was so funny I nearly peed my pants. Juju was very concerned for him and not amused at all of us laughing at her dad and went to him. It was so cute.
M put Juliette to bed, H and J went to the comedy show and Sav joined us while D,F,W did the speedway. This is the big attraction on the ship, race cars. Their experienced was ruined because of a wild kid who kept breaking the rules and they had to stop all the cars to tell that kid off. Comedy was mediocre, but the Not-so-newlywed gameshow (what Jared and I never miss on any cruise) at 9:15 was hilarious. D W F and M joined us for that while Sav stayed with Juju. I went to bed at 10:30 but Wes and Jar stayed out again til midnight, Wes did karaoke he is always the best on, probably bc he's the only one not drunk. They also caught the 80's dance party and got chicken wings and dessert and Locals. Dude time. I love them.
